Egg Creation At Home!!!!

This week for our Whetu Challenge we created something using egg cartons. I made a Pattern. The materials I used were Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, and Pink Paper. Also a Egg Carton (Of course.) The most challenging part was taping and gluing that purple paper to the brown egg carton. The easiest part was cutting out the different colour shapes. I did this at home because I left school for my Orthodontics Appointment So I couldn't do the Whetu Challenge at school! But it was just as fun at home! I didn't really know what to do at the start but I realized that it looked like a pattern because It had a pink heart than a blue circle and then a pink heart AGAIN! I am really happy with my results and I really enjoyed doing this!

Maths Mystery (The Murder at the Movies)

Every Week the Whetu Team does a Math Challenge. It is a Mystery about The Mystery of the Murder at the Movies! I worked with Hannah not just because we're friends because we work really well together! Also, we managed to get the Comprit that killed someone at the Movies Randomly, We think it's Berniece Lowry! So It was really fun doing this week's Maths Mystery! It was pretty difficult at times but most of it was pretty easy. The most challenging part about this week's Maths Mystery was Clue 1 and I did that one! It was really hard for me and Hannah, But we got there in the end! The easiest part about this week's Maths Mystery was Clue 4 because it was hard at the start but then I realized that 50% meant half. But this week's Maths Mystery was Fun start to finish!

Word of the Week (Cacophony)

This week is a new week so the Whetu Team has new activities to do, and we still don't have any TT rock stars and Mindfulness colouring and I think that's a good idea because people don't know when to stop. Anyway, we still have must do's and can do's, Must Do's for, writing, Must-Dos are The Matariki Challenge and No Can do's. Must Do's for Reading Must-Dos are Matariki Challenge AGAIN! and NO Can Dos. For Maths Must-Dos IS Study Ladder. and Can Dos is Maths Challenge and there is a New Blog Challenge for the week. Also Word of the week but I did Word of the Week because I have done all of my Must Do's so I could do this task that was really fun.  The most challenging part about this task was nothing really this was really fun and pretty easy. the easiest part about this task was adding the lighting bolts.

The most challenging thing about this task was recreating my bedroom because I couldn't find the right bed because I have the smallest bed ever. The easiest part about this task was recreating our classroom because that was exactly what to do!

Also Word of the week but I did The Writing Matariki Challenge because it is one of the Must do's for this week. The most challenging part about this task was reading the whole reading thingy because I had to try and think about what part I should read for the right question. The easiest thing about this task was colouring in the squares.    

Recipe for Winter!

This Term the Whetu Team is doing some cameo writing. Last term we did a cameo for Rainbows and the colour of them! But this term we did it on a Recipe for the different seasons. You could Do Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring but I did Winter because I thought that it would be really fun because I know a lot of stuff about winter. I think that I like this type of writing more than long pieces because you get to publish it and design it however you want! I would definitely do this writing again because I really like this. I think the best part about this task is describing words in my writing because I didn't just say *ice* I said *Frozen Water!* I think my task is a SUPERNOVA because I drew a girl in the background wearing a scarf and I also think that my writing is a SUPERNOVA because I put the words like *Freezing* and *Cold* in blue. I think the most challenging thing about my Recipe for Winter was reading my writing because some of it didn't make sense so then I went back and changed it. The easiest thing about my Recipe for Winter was colouring in the pants because they easy to colour in!

Whetu Challenge - Paper Planes

Today our challenge was to design an accurate paper plane. We were given a draft piece of paper to trial and a good piece to use once we had tested the accuracy of it. We could work in panters but you had to have you own plane, There were 3 runways and 3 hangers. The hangers are the places where planes land! 

Before we started I thought this challenge was going to be something to do with bards and cowsheds, because the hangers looked like bards and cowsheds. But Mrs. loft told me that it was a hanger and not were people got hanged :( Mrs. Loft told me this because I and Carmen cut up some of the hangers so there were 3, not 2!  

I decided to use the design of butterflies and flowers because I thought it would be a really good design to do. I liked the flower the most because Lola BS Showed me how to do it. But the butterflies were good too!   

The most challenging part was getting my paper plane into the bard because I was in the finale competition round and everyone was screaming because I was so close that It was killing me and the audience.   

During our competition time, I managed to score 14 or 15! I was in the top 10. I am so proud of myself and I am also proud of my friend Carmen because she got her paper plane into the hanger 2 times so I am so happy for her!  

Hand Sanitizer

Today at home I got bored and started to randomly start writing down my thoughts about Hand Sanitizer! SoI think that Hand Sanitizer is so important because It makes your hands be clean and it’s better to eat your food when your hands are clean. So that is one of my though's about it and I think that the best brand of Hand Sanitizer is Dettol because it doesn't smell really bad like the one that we use at school, and that's the reason why I bring my own.   

Storyathon

Today the Fred the Moths and The PekaPekas got to do Storyathon for Living in Lockdown. My story was kinda true and kinda made up because I wanted to make my story to be more exciting then it actually is. I love my story and I think that it is a SUPERNOVA because I put I lot of effort into it. The most challenging thing was trying to delete some words because I had 129 words and we are supposed to have 100. The easiest thing was making some of my stories because I knew exactly what to write.

For Maths Must-Dos IS Study Ladder. and Can Dos is Maths Challenge and there is a New Blog Challenge for the week. Also Word of the week but I did The Word of the Week because it was one of the last things to do! This week's word of the week Bewindered and it means Confused, Puzzled, and Lost! The most challenging thing about this weeks word of the week was nothing really but the easiest thing was finding the picture because it was the best one that shows Bewildered!      

Maths Mystery

Every Week the Whetu Team does a Math Challenge. It is a Mystery about The Mystery of The Missing Pencil Cases! I worked by, myself because I haven't worked alone for a couple of weeks! Also, I think managed to get the Comprit that stole all of those pore kids Pencil Cases, It was Ruby! So It was really fun doing this week's Maths Challenge, It was pretty difficult at times but most of it was pretty easy. I think I got the answer right but I don't know for sure! The most challenging part was what shape am I because I got mixed up with the wrong shape and didn't want to get the answer wrong so I started again and it worked (Kind of.) The easiest part was Clue 1 because you just had to count backward's and Forwards.

Also Word of the week but I did The Blog Challenge because I have finished all of my Must Do's and also it looked really FUN! Our goal was to make a really good Birthday card for Girls and Boys and if your lucky you might get picked and your card could be the new birthday card for Mr. Fraser and Miss. Coles to give out! Anyway about my task! The most challenging part about this task was thinking of what to do because I had no idea at the start but I got there at the end! The easiest part about this task was picking the colours because there bright and Luminous!

For Maths Must-Dos are TT Rock Stars. Study Ladder. and Can Dos is Maths Challenge and there is a New Blog Challenge for the week. Also Word of the week But I did The Word of the week because it was the last thing for me to do! The most challenging part about The Word of the week was nothing really because it was pretty easy. So the easiest part about this task was picking the colour of the background because I wanted it to be Colourful and Luminous!

Now there's no TT Rock Stars & Mindfulness Colouring because people have been doing too much TT rock stars and Mindfulness Colouring. Anyway, we still have must do's and can do's, Must Do's for, writing, Must-Dos are Sick Sentences and No Can do's. Must Do's for Reading Must-Dos are Synthesis Eggs and NO Can Dos. For Maths Must-Dos are TT Rock Stars. Study Ladder. and Can Dos is Maths Challenge and there is a New Blog Challenge for the week. But I did The weekly Blog Challenge because I didn't know what it was about and I was really interested. Also, I have done all of my Must-Dos so I can now do my Can Dos! The most challenging thing about this week's Blog Challenge was Places that I'm going to visit because I haven't visited anywhere out of the country! The easiest part about this weeks Blog Challenge was what I will be Working as because I want to be a Teacher!

The most challenging part about this week's Maths Mystery was Clue 1 because Hannah knew what to do but I didn't really get it! The easiest part about this week's Maths Mystery was Clue 2 because I have done this type of Clue before! But overall This Maths Mystery was really Fun!

For Maths Must-Dos are TT Rock Stars. Study Ladder. and Can Dos is Maths Challenge and there is a New Blog Challenge for the week. But I did Sick Sentences because it was one of the must-dos. The most challenging thing about this tack was making a new sentence for the bird watched the wasp. The easiest thing was to write the nouns for the picture!

Anyway, we still have must do's and can do's, Must Do's for, writing, Must-Dos are Sick Sentences and No Can do's. Must Do's for Reading Must-Dos are Synthesis Eggs and NO Can Dos. For Maths Must-Dos are TT Rock Stars. Study Ladder. and Can Dos is Maths Challenge and there is a New Blog Challenge for the week. But I did Synthesis Eggs because it was one of the Must-Dos. There was nothing really that was Challenging but the easiest part was reading the article because it was pretty short!              

Bean Research

This Week the Whetu Team is doing some activities to choose from and one of them was Bean Growing. Only a couple of people did it but it was still fun! We had to declarant a cup and put our name on it, Then put dirt in the cup and a bean seed. We also have to water it every DAY! Mrs. Kennedy said that we can do some research on Bean Growing and Bean Seeds. So I and Jessie worked together and we learned a lot along the way. We did an Adobe Spark and I think that our presentation is a SUPERNOVA! The most challenging part about Bean Research was picking the theme because there were so many good ones. The easiest part about Bean Research was taking the photo of me and Jessie's Bean Plants.           

Tennis Ball Tower Challenge

Today for our Whetu Challenge we worked in a group to build a tower out of newspaper, 2 straws, and sellotape. We needed to make our tower strong enough to hold a tennis ball and be able to stand alone (not leaning on anything or needing support).

Today I worked with Lola & Ashley! It was really fun working with them, Ashley had really good Ideas. Lola was the tape person and I was the person that secured everything.   

At first, we had trouble with trying to make the thing that secures the tennis ball but we got there in the end! 

The easiest thing was deciding on an idea because we all liked each other's ideas and used them ALL! 

The best part of our tower was the legs the secured the tower because I think it was a good idea to tape to the newspaper and I think its good because it holds everything up.  

Our tower looked pretty good because it was Tall, Stouge and Creative! I think that it is a SUPERNOVA!

In the end, our Creation went pretty well I loved that we worked in a team because we work really well together and I really liked working with them! 

Cantankerous Research Word Of The Week

This week is a new week so the Whetu Team has new activities to do. But this week is a little different than last week. Now we have Must Dos and Can Dos and we have to finish our Must-Dos before our Can Dos! For writing, Must-Dos are Sick Sentences but there are no Can Dos. For Reading Must-Dos are Synthesis Eggs and NO Can Dos. For Maths Must-Dos are TT Rock Stars. Study Ladder. and Can Dos is Maths Challenge and there is a New Blog Challenge for the week and there was a Word of the Week! But I Did the Word of the Week because I wanted to know what Cantankerous meant. Cantankerous means that your a Lli Tampered, Cranky, Moody, and just Angry! It was pretty to do but I still had fun! There was not really anything that was challenging doing this task. But the easiest part was putting all of the research into my own words!     

Sick Sentences

Now we have Must Dos and Can Dos and we have to finish our Must-Dos before our Can Dos! For writing, Must-Dos are Sick Sentences but there are no Can Dos. For Reading Must-Dos are Synthesis Eggs and NO Can Dos. For Maths Must-Dos are TT Rock Stars. Study Ladder. and Can Dos is Maths Challenge and there is a New Blog Challenge for the week. But I did the Sick Sentences because It was the last thing to do. The most challenging part of this Sick Sentences task was thinking of some nouns because I didn't know what nouns were cause I forgot. The easiest thing about the Sick Sentences task was changing the sentence to be better.    

Week 8 Blog Challenge (Meet My Pet)

This week is a new week so the Whetu Team has new activities to do. But this week is a little different than last week. Now we have Must Dos and Can Dos and we have to finish our Must-Dos before our Can Dos! For writing, Must-Dos are Sick Sentences but there are no Can Dos. For Reading Must-Dos are Synthesis Eggs and NO Can Dos. For Maths Must-Dos are TT Rock Stars. Study Ladder. and Can Dos is Maths Challenge and there is a New Blog Challenge for the week. But I did This week's Blog Challenge because I sore other people doing this Blog Challenge and it looked pretty fun! This Blog Challenge was about your pet and if you didn't have a pet you would do a pet that you would want OR a pet that you used to have. My Pet is a dog and his name is Moe Moe but I called him Little Mobe Boy. The most Challenging thing about this week's Blog Challenge was what Moe dislikes because he loves EVERYTHING! But don't be fooled by his cute looks because if he doesn't like you he will growl at you OR worst bite you! The easiest part about this week's Blog Challenge was writing Moe's Name!        

Maths Mystery Week 8

Every Week the Whetu Team does a Math Challenge. It is a Mystery about The Mystery of the Naughty Gnome! I worked with Carmen not just because we're friends because we work really well together! Also, we managed to get the Comprit that was being really behaved, It was Captain Steve! So It was really fun doing this week's Maths Challenge, It was pretty difficult at times but most of it was pretty easy. The most challenging part about this week's Maths Mystery was Clue 1 because Carmen knew what to do but I didn't really get it! The easiest part about this week's Maths Mystery was Clue 4 because I and Carmen have done this type of Clue before! But overall This Maths Mystery was really Fun!
