Google Drivers Licence B

This Week the Whetu Team is doing some Activities to do. We could Research on Onomatopoeia OR Do TT rock stars OR SL (Study Ladder) OR Make a copy of the slides and answer the questions about the article. OR the Maths Challenge OR Make a new Emoji. But also on the second page on Whoogle, we could challenge ourselves and do a Google Drivers License C and B! (But we had to do C first) I finished this actively on Friday and on Tuesday I didn't know how to put slides on my blog.  The most challenging thing about Google Drivers Licence was typing all of the symbols in because some of my keys don't work so I had to find them on the internet! The easiest thing about Google Drivers Licence was Text boxing and high lighting one word in a sentence.

But then I sore Miss Mac's video on *How to put slides on your blog* and that really worked! The most challenging thing about Google Drivers Licence was sharing a folder with the teachers. The easiest part about Google Drivers Licence was inserting a text box with my name in it!       

Whetu Catapult Challenge

Whetu Catapult Challenge is all about trying to make a successful Catapult and try to get it as far and high as possible. We could work in a buddy, by yourself OR in a group of three.    

The things that I used to make my catapult were: Ruber Bands, Big Ice Block Sticks, Little Ice Block Sticks and, ONE Spoon!

To make my catapult I worked with Carmen, Carlee and I. I think that we worked really good together and even though were all Best Friends, we didn't pick each other because we're Friends. We have worked together before and we got a lot done.


We were trying to make the best model of a catapult as possible! So we remodeled and remodeled and remodeled. Then we realized that it was SUPER challenging to get the spoon in the right place because we were scared to accidentally break it.        

Our best results were when Mrs. Loft said to try and make your pom pom go as far as possible because when Mrs. Loft said to get your pom pom as high as possible our Catapult didn' really work.

Overall I think that our Catapult was pretty good at flying far but not really good at flying high. But that's okay because our catapult wasn't perfect and I give our Catapult a 5 out of 10!    

Maths Mystery

 

Every Week the Whetu Team does a Math Challenge. It is a Mystery about Who toke the Last Page of the Story? I did this challenge with Hannah and we both worked together to find out who was the culprit! The Culprit was Florence! The most challenging part of this Maths Challenge was the Triangle Equtations was really hard but we got through it.

My Onoatopoeia

  This Week the Whetu Team is doing some Activities to do. We could Research on Onomatopoeia OR Do TT rock stars OR SL (Study Ladder) OR Make a copy of the slides and answer the questions about the article. OR the Maths Challenge OR Make a new Emoji So this time I did Research on Onomatopoeia because I thought that I would learn something NEW! (Which I did) The most challenging thing about this task was thinking of an Onomatopoeia of Twang. The easiest thing was making an onomatopoeia for BOOM!    

My Discovery

 This Week The Whetu Team is using some of our learning time to Discover something that we would like to know more about! I Researched Autism because my sister has Autism and I want to learn more about it. I did my Discovering on Adobe Spark because I have done Adobe Spark before and it's really fun to do. I picked a quiet song because I can't do a ROCK METAL song because my theme is relaxed! I think the best thing about my Discovery task is the Cool Light Backgrounds because they are really Cool (Well they should be cool because I searched up *Cool Light Backgrounds*) The most Challenging thing about my Task was Finding the right background so it could be suitable. The easiest thing about my task was finding the right font for my Adobe Spark.    

Emojis!

This Week the Whetu Team is doing some Activities to do. So I chose to make a new emoji because I thought that making a new emoji would be cool and really thinking about what you were going to do. I think the best emoji that I did was the one with the heart because it really stands out. The most challenging thing about the Activite was the Nerd one because it took so long to do the glasses. The easiest thing was making the yellow circle.   

Week 1 Reflection

Week 1 Reflection

What has been my highlight this week was dressing up because everybody did there own thing and was unique. Also, I liked the first day of school because I got to see all of my friends. 

What was I nervous about this week was to see if there were any new people in the class and there was and they are very nice.   

For dress-up day I dressed up as a Motobike Rider because I didn't know what to dress up as until my Mum suggested a Motobike Rider because I am going riding on Saturday.  

The funniest thing has happened this week is when I and my friends were catching up on the first day of school. We were talking about isolation and that the Teachers were dressed up as bees and today Posh Teachers!

I think the best-dressed person was Paige because she thought out of the box and dressed up as a Hippy. She had Black Curly hair and Hippy Necklaces and a Hippy Tshirt. I loved her outfit one body else did this and it was unique.

          

My Milk Bottle Creation

My Milk Bottle Creation

The milk bottle creation I made was a Cat Pencil Holder!

The hardest part was making the right shape so the pencils would stay in the holder.

The easiest part was adding the ears.

I enjoyed drawing the face because it was so cute.

I loved doing this Creation because it was new and I haven't done it before. 

Poster on COVID 19 and Going back to School

Today I made a COVID 19 Poster and that Today is Level 2. I am going to school on Monday so I wrote about how I really want to go back to school. I used a photo of me and my Summer Something Group. It was pretty easy and I think its a SUPERNOVA! The hardest thing was picking the font because there were so many good ones. The easiest thing was getting the picture of my Summer Something Group! 

Offline Wednesday is BACK!! Egg Carton (Flowers)

Offline Wednesday is BACK!! I love Offline Wednesday because you can play outside do not go online of once! But you can go online to put stuff on your blog! (Like This) I looked at Pinterest to get some ideas and I thought that the Flowers looked cool! I think that the best part about my Egg Carton Art is the colour of the Flowers! The most challenging thing about this is probably nothing It was so easy and FUN! The easiest part about my art is making the stem of the Flower!

Fab Finish! Week 5 Term 2

This week the Whetu Team had finished our book and up to our Fab Finish! I always love doing Fab Finishes because you can do a character model, All about me or descriptive passage. But I toke my task the extra mile and didn't do ANY! Last year I did a Sun for Sunny so this year I did Fudge for Fudge! This relates to the story because Fudge is one of the main charters of Tales of Fourth Grade Nothing. Did you know that Fudge is in a lot of books by Judy Blume!

 Here are some books that have Fudge in it:

3. Fudge- a-Mania

4. Double Fudge

and that's how many books have Fudge in them! and I feel that's a lot of books just bast on FUDGE! Anyway about my Task I think I might have done A LOT of facts! (I did 18!!) I did Fudge because I really wanted to do Fudge for Fudge I feel like nobody else would do this! To make my task a SUPERNOVA I put all 18 facts on the fudge. I did my task on paper because Fab Finishes are on paper and it is Offline Wednesday so I could just put it on my blog! My Presentation is Fudge with facts on top. I think my Presentation is unique because I think nobody else would do Fudge for Fudge. I think that the best part about my Fab Finish is all the 18 facts. My Fab Finish was such fun so there was definitely nothing that I didn't like about it! The thing that was the most challenging was going over my facts with sharpy because It toke so long! The easiest thing about my Fab Finish was putting the toothpicks on the Fudge so the Facts would stay on the Fudge!              

       

My Highlight of my Popa's House!

Last week I went to my Popa's house for 7 days! Of course, I had to do my school work and everything else and that was really FUN! So I made this! It was pretty easy to do because I finished it in 15 mins! at the end of this post I will put a link so you can see it clearer! I did this because I had a lot of fun times at Popa's house in the last week! Of course, I'm home now with my family. Here is the Sharable LINK! 

Taylor's lockdown Diary Digital 1 Week 5

 Today I completed my Lockdown Digital Diary! It was really FUN! The First slide was like a front-page where you had to put your name and the date your age as well. The 2nd Page was like who was in your bubble and write stuff about them. The 3rd slide was about what would you say about COVID 19 in the future. The 4th slide was about 5 AWESOME things about the lockdown. The 5th slide was about Movie day and I watched the Emoji Movie! The last slide was about that you had to write a note to your future self. But I already did the note so I just said what I wrote then. Here is my Sharable LINK!

Last Chapter Chat Research Week 4 Term 2 🥺🥺

This is My Chapter Chat for this week for our Book Tales of Fourth Grade Nothing. This Chapter Chat is Really sad because The Whetu Team had finished the Book Tales of Fourth Grade Nothing!🥺 I loved Tales of Fourth Grade Nothing it was full of drama and excitement. The worst thing that happened in the story was when Fudge ate DIBBLE! I was horrified why would Fudge eat Dribble for? What did Dribble do to you, Fudge? That is my Only Question. Anyway about my Chapter Chat: I did Design and that was to Research​ ​the​ ​author​ ​Judy​ ​Blume.​What​ ​other​ ​books​ ​has​ ​she​ ​written?

This relates to the story because Judy Blume is the author of our book Tales of Fourth Grade Nothing. I did Research because last year for the book Ghost my friends did Research on Jason Reynolds and I thought it looked FUN! To make my task a SUPERNOVA I searched up *What is Judy Blumes Favourite colour?* Aparnley it's Purple so the main colour in my poster is Purple. I did my Task on Paper because I wanted to use my pen and paper skills. My Presentation is a Research poster. I think my presentation is unique because put 2 tasks together because I drew Peter's New Puppy and that task was The Arts. I think the best part about my Chapter Chat the font that I used for the writing. This task was really fun and so there was nothing that I didn't like about it 😀! The thing that was the most challenging was tracing those little bubble things that I put the facts in. The easiest thing was drawing Peters Puppy!                                                                                    

Kite Making (Offline Wednesday)

On Offline Wednesday The Whetu Team was making Kites! I have joined my Popa's Bubble so I couldn't do it with my Mum at home. But my Popa helped me during the process. At first, we had to find two pieces of little bites of wood to be the cross But we couldn't find any! Then my Popa found some wood and cut it in half so it was smaller. We hot glue the wood together (lucky we had a hot glue gun) My Popa put a nail in the wood so it would hold it together more. 2nd we got a rubbish bag and put it over the cross. Then we started to use the staple gun and staple the rubbish bag to the cross and make it the perfect shape. Then we did a Test fly to make sure it would fly but it didn't really fly but I flow at the end (kind of) We tried different ways to make it fly but it didn't really work. So I looked at it and I thought it was a little plain so I said we should paint it. Then my Popa said that we had spray paint I was so excited to paint it the next minute My Popa came back with Green, Blue, and White spray paint. I sprayed my Kite Blue then I let my Uncle CJ spray some green dots on it and put white on the tail. The most challenging thing about Making a Kite was getting it to fly. The thing that I liked the most was painting the Kite because it was really cool when I finished. The easiest thing about making this was getting the rubbish bag for the kite.
