2nd Chapter Chat Design Week 3 Term 2

This is my 2nd Chapter Challenge for this week for our book Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. I did Design that was to do this: Peter thinks he can solve New York City’s traffic problem with a monorail. Covid-19 is a problem today. Design a poster or video to help stop COVID 19 from spreading. I chose to do a video about COVID 19. I chose to do a video about COVID 19 because I knew what to do and it looked exciting. This relates to the story because traffic in New York City is a problem and COVID 19 is a Problem in NZ and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing is placed in New York City. I did an Abode Spark because I haven't done one before! To make my task a SUPERNOVA I didn't just talk about COVID 19 I put some facts about it too. I did my task on my computer this time because two months ago I made a poster about COVID 19 so I wanted to do something different. I did design because I thought about Abobe Spark and I loved my Idea. This week I did TWO Chapter Chats because I finished my first one so quick and I got pretty bored. My presentation is an Adobe Spark talking about COVID 19. I think my presentation is unique because I think I am the only one that did an Adobe Spark! I think the best part about my Chapter Chat is the Backgrounds that I put in the Adobe Spark because my theme of my Adobe Spark was light sunsets OR sunrise. The thing that I liked doing the most was adding the backgrounds because they were so cool. (Well I searched Cool Backgrounds so they had to be cool RIGHT!) This was really fun so there was nothing that I did like about this task. (I mean what's not to like?) The thing that I learned doing this task was that there are more cases of COVID 19. The most challenging thing about this task was finding the facts because I had to find out if the facts were right or not. The easiest thing was picking the music for the Adobe Spark because I liked the one it already had.

Chapter Chat Design Week 3 Term 2

I am Very Sorry about this one we ran out of Ink!!

This is My Chapter Chat for this week for our Book Tales of Fourth Grade Nothing. I did Design that was to make an invitation to Fudge's birthday party. OR Create a giant turtle in Minecraft. OR make the Statue of Liberty. I chose to make an invitation to Fudge's birthday party but I did something different and I did all of the invitations to Fudge's 3rd Birthday Party. I chose to make invitations to Fudge's Birthday Party because I knew exactly what to do and it sounded like it was going to be FUN! (witch it was) This relates to the story because of Peter's Mother she though a 3rd Birthday Party for Fudge, But it doesn't go as planned. The kids that Fudge invites to his Birthday Party were Jenny (the girl that pees on the GROUND!) Sam (The Cry-Baby) and Ralph (The kid that eats A LOT!) To make my task a SUPERNOVA I didn't just pick one person to write the invite to I did all of the kids. I made my task on my iPad (Well my sister's iPad) I used this app called Pages and you could pick stuff like a Poster OR a Letter. But there was this one called Birthday Party invitation, So that is what I did. The thing that I learned doing this task was that our printer is running out of colored ink and that my Mum has to order some more online. I did Design because I had the app to do it with and I thought it looked pretty FUN! This week I didn't do another task from last week because we had NEW tasks for this week. My presentation is Birthday Cards for Fudge's Birthday Party. I think my presentation is unique because I didn't do just one birthday invitation I did all THREE! I think the best part about my Chapter Chat is the colour's for each card because since Jenny's a 3-year-old girl I put her card in Pink and Purple. Sam's card was Blue and Light Blue. Ralphs card was supposed to be Green but the printer had different planes and made Ralphs card had all of the colour's. But I think it looks cool and also it looks like a bucket of paint spilled all over it. The thing that I liked doing the most was writing the invitations because it was pretty easy and FUN at the same time. This was really fun so there was nothing that I did like about this task. The most challenging thing about printing out everything because the printer was acting up AGAIN! The easiest thing was writing the invitations because I knew what exactly what to write.            

Weekend Chapter Chat Design Week 2 Term 2 (Don't Judge 🤣🤣 🤣)

This is my Weekend Chapter Chat this week for our book Tales of Fourth Grade Nothing. I did Design that was to Design​ ​mug shots​ ​of ​yourself.​ ​You had to do Design​ ​mug shots​ ​of ​yourself.​ ​Front,​ ​back​ ​, and​ ​side. This relates to the story because Peter​ ​wonders​ ​what​ ​it​ ​would​ ​be​ ​like​ ​to​ ​visit​ ​police​ ​headquarters​ ​and​ ​look​ ​at​ ​mugshots. To make my task a SUPERNOVA I put some of my Mum's makeup on my face and put some water so the makeup would smudge! This Task was very easy and I finished it in 1 hour. The thing that I learned doing this task was that lipstick doesn't taste that good! Since I am not the girly type I didn't know what to use because I didn't know what some of my Mum's makeup was! The makeup that I used was lipstick, mascara, and blush because that was that only makeup that I know! The thing that I already knew about this task was that mascara smudges and that is why I used it. I did Design because I haven't done it and because I thought it would be FUNNY seeing me looking like a MASTERMIND!! I did another task from last week because I wanted to do THREE Chapter Chats for this week (Even though this one is a Weekend Chapter Chat.) My presentation is Me as a MASTERMIND in a mugshot. I think my presentation is unique because some people didn't make their hair messy and stuff. I think that the best part about my Weekend Chapter Chat is my face because it is REALLY messy. The thing that liked doing the most was looking in the mirror and I looked so FUNNY!! This task was really FUN and easy so there was nothing that I didn't like about it. The most challenging thing was making the pice of paper that I'm holding. The easiest thing was finding a gray t-shirt because I already had one.

2nd Chapter Chat Design Week 2 Term 2

This is My Chapter Chat for this week for our Book Tales of Fourth Grade Nothing. I did Design that was to create your​ ​own​ ​advert​ ​for​ ​Juicy-O.​ ​It​ ​could​ ​be​ ​a​ ​video​ ​commercial​ ​that you record, a jingle that you write, or an advertisement that could be published in a newspaper. I chose to create an advertisement for Juicy-O. I chose to create an advertisement for Juicy-O because I knew exactly what to do and I thought it would be FUN! This relates to the story because at the start of the story Mr. and Mrs. Juicy-O and they stayed at Peter's house. To make my task a SUPERNOVA I put some information on the fount of my News Paper. I used I font that I think would be used in a New York City News Paper. The thing that I learned doing this task was that New York City should STOP having Taxis, Busses that sort of stuff, and replace it with a citywide monorail system. because it would stop traffic and stopping traffic means that we can stop Palestine! I decorated my News Letter with words that said NYC and By Taylor Batchelor. I did Design because I haven't done it and because I thought it would be cool to advertise Juicy-O. I did another task from last week because I wanted to do TWO Chapter Chat Task. My presentation is that I made a New Letter and printed everything out and put it on the News Letter and I decorated my News Letter with the sharpies that I have at home. I think my presentation is unique because most people made that ad but I made the advertisement​ ​for​ ​Juicy-O. I think that the best part about my Chapter Chat is the fount of the News Letter because of all of the colourful decorations. The thing that liked doing the most was writing that Peter Hatcher saying that stopping traffic will be good and get a citywide monorail system. This task was really fun and there was nothing that I didn't like about it! The most challenging thing was printing everything because our printer was acting up. The easiest thing was sticking everything on with my glue stick!

This is my 1st Anzac Day Actively. This Actively is all about remembering the people the fort for our country. True Story: My Grandfather wasn't in the war because had one eye! and you had to have all of your body parts! What I learned about doing the thing activity was what ANZAC stands for, It stands for

I created this Anzac Actively so I can show reacted to the people that risked their lives for our country. I loved doing this activity because I have some Red Sharpe's at home and that is the PERFECT colour for Anzac. I think that the best thing about my activity is when I wrote Lest we Forget and some poppies around it. The most challenging thing about this activity was spelling Anzac right because I didn't know how to spell it. The easiest thing doing this activity was drawing poppies because there so simple.

It’s the 18th of April and that means that it’s been 27 days since School CLOSED! And it also means that in 5 days it will be her B-day 🥳🥳! Today even though it's Saturday I did some Staddeny Ladder and some TTRS ( Time Table Rock Stars) Tomorrow I am hoping that I could change my room up so I can move my Bed and stuff around or something because I think it would be cool! Today my Mum went to the Supermarket. She went at 9:00 AM and came back home at 4:00 PM! So the supermarket must be SUPER busy! The Highlight of my day was going to the farm and NOT getting any shocks!

Today is Day 26 and that means that it’s been 26 days and it also means that it’s the 17th of April. Also in 6 days, it would be my best friend (Carlee). Her Birthday is in 6 days 🥳🥳! Today I was pretty bored so I decided that I would do some schoolwork and do a second Ch Ch (Chapter Chat) because my 1st Chapter Chat was Research Centre and I wanted to draw Dribble (The Turtle), Fudge and The Jelly Bean Jar. Most of my day I did that and I didn’t go on the farm because I wanted to start my 2nd Chapter Chat so bad because I didn’t want it to be too late. The Highlight of my day was putting my Chapter Chat on my blog!

It’s the 16th of April and that means that it’s been 25 days since school CLOSED! Today I went on on the farm with my Dad to move the cows and feed them hay. Anyway, when we were putting up a fence something went WRONG! I got a SHOCK from the electric fence and I fell OVER! My Dad laughed at me. It wasn't very nice. A min later I got another shock on a GATE! And my Dad laughed at me AGAIN! ANOTHER shock later I had THREE shocks in ONE day. We got back home like normal but now my Dad just told my Mum that I got 3 shocks already and then she’s laughing at me so all day it was like ohh hahaha Taylor got 3 shocks in one day!

Chapter Chat Create Week 2 Term 2

This is My Chapter Chat for this week for our Book Tales of Fourth Grade Nothing. I did The Create that was to have​ ​a​ ​contest​ ​to​ ​see​ ​whose​ ​airplane​ ​can​ ​fly​ ​the​ ​farthest. So I did a Contest between me and my Dad. (You have to watch the video to see who won!) This relates to the story because Fudge​ ​would​ ​like​ ​to​ ​fly​ ​like​ ​a​ ​bird.​ But sadly,​ ​he​ ​discovers​ ​the​ ​principles​ ​of​ ​aerodynamics​ ​the hard​ ​way​ ​and​ ​lands​ ​on​ ​his​ ​face. To make my task a SUPERNOVA a made a poster on the door and it says Try and hit me if you can! (I will put a photo of it on my Blog.) The thing that I learned doing this task was how to make a paper plane. also, I learned that my Dad is really good at it! I did Create because I haven't done it and It looked FUN! I did that Chapter Chat task from last week because Mrs. Kennedy thought that we had enough tasks, (and I agree.) My presentation is me and my Dad is having a very imported contest on paper planes. I think my presentation is unique because I made a poster and a starting point. I think that the best part about my Chapter Chat is the poster because I think I did a good job on it. The thing that liked doing the most was throwing the paper plane because to see how far it will go. I really liked doing this task so there was nothing that I didn't like about it. The thing that was the most challenging was making the video because I had to make time. The easiest thing was making the starting point.

2nd Chapter Chat (The Arts) Week 1 Term 2

This is my 2nd Chapter Chat for this week for our new book Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing. I did The Arts that was to draw a picture of Dribble the Turtle (that Peter won from the Birthday Party.) OR the Jelly bean jar ( The one that he guessed at the birthday party) OR Fudge (Peters little brother.) I chose to do ALL of them because I couldn't decide which one to do. To make my task a SUPERNOVA I put some facts on it as well. The thing that I learned doing this task was that Sea-Turtles think that Jellyfishes are DELICIOUS but they get stung and die. I was SHOCKED about this fact about I thought that Turtles would know that Jellyfishes are ☠️DANGEROUS☠️ But now I know that Turtles aren't that smart about Jellyfish. I did The Arts because I had a good idea for the task. My presentation is a poster I did a poster because a couple day ago me and my Mum ordered some A2 paper and It came today so we wanted to use it. I think my presentation is unique because I did Dribble (The Turtle) and I also did Fudge and the jelly bean jar. I think the best part about my Chapter Chat is the Jelly Bean Jar because I just really like it. The thing that I liked doing the most was drawing Dribble because I think that he's so CUTE. The most challenging thing was doing the facts in a cloud because sometimes I had to redo the clouds because they didn't look right. The easiest thing was drawing the Jelly bean jar because it was simple and easy.

Chapter Chat Research Centre week 1 Term 2

This Term The Whetu Team has started a new book called Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing! The Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing is all about this boy and his family. The boy's name is Peter and he just got a new pet turtle and the turtle's name is Dribble. Peter had a little brother called Farley but everyone calls in Fudge. He is only 2 and a half years old but he is very annoying to Peter. About Peter's Father, he works in the advertising business so he watches a lot of commercials on TV. Peter's Mother doesn't work because she looks after Fudge and Peter but Peter Mother Does not like turtles! Anyway last year we had the name Chapter Chat and then we changed it to Chapter Challenge, But now this year we changed the name for our task back to Chapter Chat. Anyway, for my Chapter Chat, I did the Research Centre on New York City (New York City because that's where Peter lives.) I did the Research Centre because I wanted to learn more things about New York City because I don't know much about NYC. One of the facts that I learned was that New York's Subway system is the biggest in the WORD! That fact really surprised about that fact because the word is a big place and that subway is the BIGGEST! My presentation is a Brochure for New York City. I think my presentation is unique because everybody else just did it on the computer but I printed my out. The most challenging thing was cutting it out because the first time I cut it out too close to the lines. The easiest thing was adding the picture. ( I was aiming for a SUPERNOVA!!!)

Today was AMAZING! We got to facetime our TEACHERS and we got more school work YAYYYY! Anyway about Facetime, it was just about how your bubble is going and that sort of stuff. The school work that they gave us is Maths including TTRS (Time Table Rock Stars,) Studyladder and Easter Mystery Challenge. I haven't done the easter challenge but I have done Studdyladder and TTRS (Time Table Rock Stars,) Also Literacy including this one thing called your Bubble Reflection and I have already done that.

Today is the 14th of April and that means that it’s been 23 days since school CLOSED! Today I played with my play-dough I made. I and my sister Riley played with it! Anyway, I made some little things with my clay that we got online. I made little ice blocks. It was FUN! Anyway today I got in touch with my friends AGAIN today. Tomorrow we have a group chat with our teachers and our class and I can’t WAIT! We also might get more school work to do and I LOVE school work!! The highlight of my day was making the ice blocks with my clay.

HAPPY EASTER EVE everybody! It’s the 13th of April and that means that it’s been 22 days since school CLOSED! Today is Easter eve like that day after Christmas but Easter. Anyway today I played outside but it was so windy that my tamp flipped OVER! So my Dad had to flip it back over, So I played on my tamp for a little while. I did a BONCE chapter challenge today. I did the dra. It was really FUN and I think I did a SUPERNOVA! Anyway today I got in touch with my friends Carmen and Jolie. We FaceTimed and texted on google hangouts it was really cool to see there faces again.

HAPPY EASTER everybody!! It's day 21 and that means that it's the 12th of April. Anyway today is Easter I woke up and totally forgot that it was Easter so when I was in the lounge with my Dad my Mum set up an Easter Egg Hunt for me and Riley (My big sister.) Since Riley is autistic it had to be easy for her. But another day my Mum is going to set up a hard Easter Egg Hunt around the farm. Anyway, I had lots of chocolate and had lots of relaxing. The highlight of my day was doing the Easter hunt with Riley. The lowlight of my day was that I had nothing to DO!

My COVID 19 Poster

This is my COVID 19 poster. I did this because I wanted to make something with my hot glue gun that we got online! Also, my gems that we got as well. The thing that I like the most about my poster is the information that I put on it. The thing that I enjoyed that most were hot gluing the feathers on my piece of paper because I didn't burn myself with it. The thing that I didn't really like doing was using the hot glue gun for the gems because the gems are so tiny that I kept burning myself. The most challenging thing was putting the information into my own words because there were some words that I didn't understand. The easiest thing was making a design using a website called WordArt it was really Fun and Exciting!

OH MY GOD! Everybody in the Country has been in self-isolation for 20 DAYS!! That's a lot of days staying at home with your FAMILY! Anyway, I didn’t go to the cowshed neither did my Dad or my Mum because today we dried off so that means until next season we will not be milking anymore. So that's good I got a sleep in and I am so used to wake up early that I woke up and realized that we weren’t milking so I went back to bed. Today I and my Mum I finished our paper mache and we both made an Easter Egg because it’s Easter weekend. Anyway, today I and My Dad went on the farm to move the cow. The highlight of my day was finishing my paper mache. I am really proud of my work!

Today is the 10th of April and that means that it’s been 19 days since school CLOSED! Today I started painting my paper mache white with my Mum. This morning it was our last day of milking so tomorrow we are NOT milking so I am really excited to have a sleep tomorrow. After milking I went with my Dad on the farm to spray the weeds in the panics, It was pretty FUN! Because my Dad was doing all of the sprayings and I was just following him on my MotorBike. Anyway, Today I started a poster on COVID 19 AKA CoronaVirus. I haven’t firsted it yet but I will work on it tomorrow. Today we made more play-dough we made Green, Yellow, and P!NK! That's a lot of play-dough!

Today is the 9th of April and that means that it’s been 18 days since school CLOSED! Today after milking we came home and my Mum said that the Arts and Crafts came! So I and my Mum got the clear glue and started on our paper mache. Anyway me and my Dad I did some fault finding. It was really FUN! This morning I and my Dad went milking. We went into the panic to get the cows and then my Dad was going so fast that my beanie fell off AGAIN and it's still missing. The lowlight of my day was losing my beanie AGAIN! The highlight of my day was doing the paper mache with my Mum!

It’s the 8th of April and that means it’s been 17 days since school CLOSED! Today I & my Dad went to the cowshed but today was different because we both went to the shed at 7:30 because my Dad's alarm didn’t go off, So we were 1 hour late. Anyway, today I and my Mum made play-dough to play with so we can’t be bored. So my Mum had to buy all of the ingredients including Cream of tartar (Whatever that is) a lot of salt so much that we don’t have any left. There are more ingredients that we already had. My Mum brought some Food Colouring the colours were Red, Yellow, Blue and, Green. The colour that we made the play-dough was Blue because we thought that the colour was pretty!

Today I went to the farm AGAIN and Mum came to the farm too so that was good. Anyway our results came in for our own last tracker pick up and we are grand free YAY! Anyway, I was talking about my Mum's friend Jordan who was pregnant and guess what she was born! On the 3de of April. It was a girl and they called her Ella. I was so revealed that they didn’t call the baby Lagatha like they were going to do. Today I & my Mum ordered some Arts and Crafts online so I can do more learning. I can’t wait for them to come! I went down the farm with Dad to lay a new water pipe and my Dad dropped a bucket & everything dropped on the ground!!!

Today I worked on this!

Today I did this. I was really bored because of lockdown! I an all about me on Google Drawing last week so now I did it in my art book. It's about me, my Family, my Sports, My Favourite things and my Pets. My favourite thing about my all about me is my facade in the picture because I think I did a good job on it. The most challenging thing was picking what font to do next. The easiest thing was thinking what to put on the all about me!

It’s the 6th of April and that means that it’s day 15 but it also means that 40 years ago my teacher Mrs. Kennedy was born! So it's Mrs. Kennedy's 40th Birthday but I thought it was her 21st hehe. Anyway, I made her a card and sent her an email saying I hope you have a fantastic Birthday. But it's such a shame that we can’t spend her Birthday at school with her. So Miss Mac can’t embarrass her in front of the whole class. Anyway, I went to the cowshed AGAIN today and were drying off today. So today was the last tanker picks up. My Dad went to go and chop some wood but something bad happened… He got a wood chip in his eye and now its all puffy!

Today is Day 14! Today I and my Mum are going to make Afghans AGAIN because that first lot that we made last time was so good that I had to make another batch. Today my Mum, Dad and I went to the cowshed altogether. It was pretty cool. But my Dad didn’t really milk because he had to do other stuff on the farm and it felt like he was trying not to go to the shed. My Mum got POOPED on by a cow when she was putting the cups on and It was sooo FUNNY well, I was laughing and she wasn’t. Yesterday I was saying that my Gym coach Stacy asked me to make up a routine so I did and It was really FUN! Most of my day I was jumping on my tramp so I could get some exercise out of this lockdown.

Today is Day 13 Wow, It's been so long since I’ve seen the outside world! Today I & my Mum watched videos about April fools prank about pranking their kids that school started on April 1st. It was so FUNNY but in most of the videos, the kids said that they hated their parents for doing this to them. Today I didn’t go to the cowshed because my Dad said that I have worked hard and I look really tired so I got a day off. Today I jumped on my Trampoline and I bet my record from 15 front flips in a row to 30. My Gymnastic coach Stacy sent her a picture of me doing a headstand and then she said can you make up a floor routine for my Gym training and that was FUN!!!

It's been 12 days since school CLOSED!. Today I went on the Farm with my Dad AGAIN so now I have gone 4 days in a row, and to me, that's a lot of days to be milking because you have nothing else to do. When I got back my Mum just got back from the supermarket and she said that they have to stand in a line that you have to stand 2 meters apart from the person behind you and in front of you. If you asked me that's a little CRAZY! but it has to be done so the virus does not spread. On the News today they said that there are 800 and something cases of CoronaVirus AKA Coveted 19. So it's STILL spreading never like I said standing 2 meters in a line that looks like it goes on forever!

Today is the 2nd of April. That means that it's day 11 and it also means that yesterday was April 1st and everyone knows that April 1st is April fools. Anyway since it was April fools my Mum tried to prank me saying that Carlee was on the phone when she wasn’t. So I got her back by saying like being mean and then saying APRIL FOOLS! It was so funny well, I was laughing and she wasn’t. Today I went to the cowshed but it was different because I started at the same time as my Dad and it was FREEZING! My hands were FROZEN off, it felt I lost all feeling in my fingers. Anyway, after milking me, my Dad and my Dog Moe went to dry off 6 cows. It was really FUN and I think Moe liked it too.

It’s been 10 days since the school closed! So yesterday I was saying that my Mum's friend was due TODAY but she didn't have the baby so her baby will be late! Anyway today I did some study ladder and Mrs. Kennady emailed the class this survey about homeschool and stuff so I did that. Yesterday I was talking about Bachelorette and they were going to bring all of the Bachelors BACK. So last night me & my Dad watched it well. I was watching and he was sleeping. Anyway, the show was full of DRAMA! I went to the shed AGAIN today and I got POOPED on a couple of times and now my jumper is probably stained by now.
