Chapter Challenge A Way With Words Term 1 Week 5

This is my Chapter Challenge A Way With Words. A Way With Words was to make a letter from Ma To Sal, Joe, Francie, and Little Humphry. I did A Way With Words because I had a good idea and I thought it would be FUN. I tried to make my letter look old so I got some tea bags from my house and brought the tea bags to school and used water and put the tea bags in the water. The thing that was most challenging was making the letter look old. The easiest thing was getting the thing the letter. I think. That I did a SUPERNOVA! 

Chapter Challenge Research Centre Term 1 Week 3/4

This Year The Whetu Team has started a new book called The Mapmakers Race! The Mapmakers Race is about four kids and their names are Sal, Joe, Francie, and Humphry. Sal is the oldest and the bravest. Joe and Francie are twins but Fancie and a little bit different than Joe because she doesn't like to talk but Joe knows what Francie is saying. Humphry is the youngest and he still sucks his thumb. Anyway, this is my Chapter Challenge and Last year we did Chapter Chat but we spiced the name up and called the new thing Chapter Challenge. Anyway, for my Chapter Challenge, I did the Research Centre and I did Research Centre because I had I good idea for the Research on the Telegraph wires so that is what I did. But I didn't just get some info from a random website I actually got the info from a kid facts website and put all of my info into my own words. I also put all of my research into my poster. The hardest part about my poster was sharing all of it. The easiest part was coloring my poster in. (I Was Aiming For A SUPERNOVA!)

My Visual Pepaha Blog Post 2020

Over the last week, I have been working on my visual pepeha.

I am proud that my Maunga looks so realistic.

What I found challenging was fitting all of my photos onto my star.

I worked with Mum and Dad to create my whanau star.

Something that has surprised me this week was when I got a star buck for sitting up nicely

and then the next day I got pulled out of the star buck draw!!!

The activity I have enjoyed the most this week was doing my artbook cover because

I liked doing different fonts and different colors.

A goal I have for myself this year is to not just play with my friends and include

other people into own games.


that I am most looking forward to this year is swimming sports because I like

swimming and I started swimming when I was two years old!


Someone who I have helped so far is Brianna and I helped Brianna

at making her own Avatar.


How I aim to show our NPS ICARE this year is using Integrity

by doing the right thing in the right place at the right time even when the teacher isn’t watching.
